We started out as real estate agents back in South Africa and ended up buying a range of commercial & residential properties as investments. We quickly got to experience all the problems that came with being a property owner/ investor.

Maintenance was often our biggest headache. It was such a struggle to get the right trades person to do what you expected when you expected. We fixed the problem by going down the expensive route and employing our own maintenance staff. Fortunately for a long period the market was growing and we could use these staff as we moved into the development and construction of buildings.

A while back we moved to New Zealand, leaving the majority of our portfolio back home. Once here we started talking to Auckland property owners about what their experience was like of managing commercial and residential buildings. While a lot of things were different (security for instance – you don't have burglar bars here) the whole issue of finding reliable property maintenance services was just the same headache here as we found in South Africa.

So with an intimate knowledge of what it was like to use this service we started this business.
